About this Position

The University House Manager & Event Coordinator oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and event coordination of the University House. This role ensures the residence is well-maintained, guest-ready, and supports university events and leadership needs at a high standard. The position is based in the Office of the President and provides occasional support to the President’s Office.

Required Qualifications
  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years related work experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for experience

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Budget tracking and expense management experience
  • Attention to detail regarding home systems, with the ability to communicate with appropriate experts as needed
  • Experience with event management software or scheduling tools
  • Customer service or guest relations background
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Hospitality, Hotel/Restaurant or related field
  • Event management experience
    -2–4 years of experience in hospitality, event coordination, facilities management, or a related field preferred
    -Experience managing events, vendors, and property or facility operations
    -Experience with budget tracking and working with financial processes
    -Background in guest services, customer service, or administrative support, preferably in a professional or higher education setting
    -Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
    -Experience in hospitality, event planning, facilities management, or a related field preferred
    -Strong organizational and time management skills
    -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    -Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
