Job description

Elegant Event Lighting is looking for overnight event crew AVAILABLE ON Friday and Saturday nights to dismantle draping, chandeliers, dance floors and other unique decor elements for wedding ceremonies and receptions around Chicagoland. 

Additional hours may be available during the week preparing inventory for events.

No experience necessary.  Just bring a hard work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Essential Duties | What You’ll Do

  • Dismantle of draping, lighting, dance floors, chandeliers and other specialty decor for wedding receptions and ceremonies in and around Chicago.
  • During the week work in a warehouse environment performing a variety of tasks to aid the daily operations. The duties can include but are not limited to moving, storing and preparing decor in support of the weekend events
  • Load event décor including drapery, chandeliers, dance floors, staging and lighting onto Trucks

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be available to work Friday And Saturday
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift
  • Able to stand and/or walk 100% of the work shift
  • Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift
  • Must be able to move and climb ladders WITHOUT accommodation or assistance
  • Ability to work in high lift
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30-40 lbs. throughout the shift. Occasionally may move up to and over 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to handle fragile items safely
  • Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions
