Part-Time First Aid Nurse
What you get to do:
  • Provide medical care to guests and employees. Assist with coordination of Work-Related injuries follow up and tracking.
  • Actively assist patients and family members coping with crisis and stress; follow-up with referrals as needed.
  • Be prepared to handle any emergency situations that might arise (i.e. inquires and illness, severe weather, power failure etc.)
  • Ensure that Health Services is operated in a safe and efficient manner. Promote teamwork throughout the Health Services staff.
  • Ensure area is clean, treatment areas kept orderly, waiting area clear of debris.
  • Continually promote courtesy and friendliness among team to provide exceptional guest service to guests and employees.
  • Review and compile workers' compensation data for reports
  • Provide medical care to employees and guests.
  • Participate in camp check-ins, medication administration and health/medical record reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:
  • Follow protocols and procedures. Complete follow up care on employee injuries.
  • Document care, complete chart scanning, insurance company notifications, and other required paperwork.
  • Contact panel physicians and Worker's Comp insurance carriers as indicated.
  • Work with departments and/or Human Resources to provide light duty assignments for injured employees.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Additional duties as directed by Health Services Manager
  • Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.
  • RN/LPN Licensed in the State of Virginia
  • Health Care Provider CPR required. ACLS preferred.
  • Effective Communications, good organization skills
  • Be exposed to fumes, dust, and/or odor.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors in all climate and weather conditions (i.e. extreme hot and cold, humid, wet and shaded areas).
  • Able to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages and individuals with special needs.
