Job description

Are you the creative and hardworking type looking for a non-traditional schedule with an ever-growing events company? Look no further, and join our team! This position would require someone with open availability, with week of event preparations, floral production, and event execution. Your Schedule would be dependent on our wedding and event schedule, which includes both late nights and weekends. The primary focus of this position is to assist the Floral & Design Production Supervisor, to pack event deccor, design timeless floral arrangements, and producing fascinating events. Events can range from our most popular, weddings, to birthday celebrations, graduations, corporate functions, and more. This is a part-time position with the opportunity of full-time hours long term.
Key Responsibilities
  • Organization, cleaning and preparation of event decor and design needs.
  • Packing & pulling event essentials including vases, decor, etc.
  • Processing of fresh flowers and attending to their weekly needs.
  • Onsite design and installation of weddings, corporate and social events involving installation of candles, floral arrangements, decor, lounge areas, and more.
  • Setup and teardown of events.
  • Designing fresh floral arrangements for our corporate, social, and wedding divisions, working with our Production supervisor and a team of 3-5 designers of varied skill sets.
  • Uphold a customer-centric approach in all event practices and empower employees to achieve our mission of exceeding client expectations.
  • Identify trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and web-based material.
  • Other duties as required.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking with the ability to formulate ideas into action.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills; to accurately pack necessary items for each event.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills with a team of designers and the client.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be available to work both evenings and weekends.
  • Must posses a strong work ethic with a team-oriented attitude to pack, design and install events within time constraints.
  • Must be able to lift 25+lbs and be able to climb ladders for installations.
  • Must be comfortable driving a large box truck and/or cargo van, training to happen in-house after onboarding.
  • Event-related experience preferred, but not needed! We are willing to train the correct candidates on floral and design basics to mold them into a floral and event design assistant to our Floral & Design Production Supervisor.
