Job description

Willow Creek & Arrowwood Weddings & Events in Waxahachie & Palmer, have an exciting opportunity to become a part of our event team!


We are seeking, a part-time fill-in "Security Guard/Operations Venue Manager" candidate. This person would be a hybrid role between our security guard, operations manager and event cleanup staff.


This person is often the solo client point of contact for the venue throughout a wedding, while also being there to ensure safety and that guests remain within our policies. The ideal candidate must have excellent people skills, problem solving and the mindset to always lend a helping hand.


Duties would involve

- guest relations (ensuring guests are happy and fulfilled with venue offerings)

-handles any guest concerns, needs or occurrences that happen during the event (restrooms needing attention, spill on dance floor, lighting to be dimmed, etc)

- security during wedding time and ensuring guests are safe within our policies

- taking out trash throughout wedding time and at the end of the event

- clearing tables and trash proactively throughout shift

- shutting down the venue at end of night (lock doors and lights off)

- moving tables and chairs (minimal, mainly just last minute changes)

- lighting fires (light outdoor fire pit)

- setup various add-on packages we offer like, smore's bar, popcorn & others

-lending a helping hand to venue coordinator, vendors or guests as needed


Job pays $30 per hour. Only part-time / fill-in available at this time.


Requirements:

- MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECURITY GUARD LICENSE

- must be willing to work nights and weekends (some shifts may go till 2AM)

- must be friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented

- must be able to problem solved and diffuse any guest situations that could arise

- must be able to lift 50 lbs & be in good physical shape for labor type work

- must be willing to lead a hand


HOURS:

Shifts normally start at 3-7PM and can run late into the night (10PM-2AM depending on wedding end time).

Pay: $30.00 per hour
