Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt/Seasonal
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys Associate positions are intended for individuals with a strong desire to gain real-world work experience, as well as a desire to work hard and give their best. Learning potential is endless with these positions and individuals get as much out of the experience as what they put into it.
Summary
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys are looking for a special events associate. The Special events department executes all non-baseball events at Constellation Field. The special events team hosts event such as, but not limited to, college baseball games, concerts, festivals, tournaments, and private events. This position will give you the opportunity to learn the process of executing an event from start to finish. This position will require working nights and weekends, as most events are held during these times.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help plan and budget for events
  • Work alongside clients from start to finish
  • Assist in the permitting process for each event
  • Make sales calls and inquire about potential events
  • Take on responsibilities for Sugar Land Holiday Lights
  • Work on Social Media and Marketing for events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

This job operates in an office setting and working around the ballpark. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. This role will include the usage of power tools.
Travel
Minimal local travel is expected for this role.
