Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parking Event Coordinator to join our team. As a Parking Event Coordinator (PEC), you will be responsible for staffing and coordinating events, overseeing event operations, managing event staff, and ensuring a smooth and successful event experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong leadership, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Schedule

Hours will fluctuate based on the event calendars, operational needs and peak activity periods, and may include weekends and holidays.


Responsibilities

  • Staffing Events: Recruit, train, and schedule event staff members to ensure adequate coverage for each event.
  • Lead Weekly Event-Specific Calls: Conduct regular meetings with event management, providing updates, talking through pre-event planning, addressing questions or concerns, and ensuring everyone is well-prepared for upcoming events.
  • Coordinate Event Operations: Supervise event staff during events, ensuring they adhere to established protocols and deliver exceptional customer service to attendees. Adjusting to any changes in event specific operations as instructed by client or Event Management.
  • Employee Relations: Coordinate food and beverage requirements for event staff, including ordering and distributing meals as per the event schedule.
  • Liaison between Event Staff and Event Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between event staff and event management, relaying important information, and facilitating effective communication.
  • Enforce Event Uniform Requirements: Ensure that all event staff members are dressed appropriately and adhere to the designated uniform requirements.
  • Keep Track of Event Attendance: Maintain accurate records of event employees, vendors and volunteers' attendance and any relevant statistical data which could assist in planning future events.
  • Collect Event Cash, Balance Event Banks, and Report Event Revenue: Collect cash payments from event attendees, vendors, or participants as required. Ensure accurate record-keeping of all cash transactions and reconcile cash received with event attendance and sales data. Maintain financial records and balance event banks to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting for each event. Report and investigate all discrepancies.
  • Manage Post Event Reporting and Communications: Provide leadership team with a complete after-action report and performance assessment. This task will provide both immediate and archived feedback to operational successes and learning points, allowing for adjustments in forecasting and strategies for future events.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Proven experience in event coordination or similar role, preferably within the parking or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language.
  • Able to promote and instill enthusiasm and passion in all event operating platforms.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service and maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Proficiency with office equipment, technology and event management software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office programs, internet, email, etc.
  • Flexible schedule: Able to work nights, weekends and Holidays as required by each Event.
  • Able to travel to travel to multiple locations: Cobb County, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Smyrna.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Previous knowledge of parking procedures/management, traffic management, and crowd control techniques is a plus.
