Activity and Event Assistant

Do you love planning events, connecting with people, and creating joyful experiences? Our senior living community is seeking a positive and energetic Activities Assistant to help bring our vibrant life enrichment program to life. Every day is an opportunity to inspire laughter, creativity, and connection with our amazing residents!

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading engaging daily activities and special events

  • Support programs that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, including our Montessori-based programming “Thrive”.

  • Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families

  • Prepare activity materials and maintain activity spaces

  • Escort residents to and from activities as needed

  • Document participation and contribute ideas to enhance programming

  • Support holiday celebrations, themed events, and community outings

  • Collaborate with other departments to create a vibrant community atmosphere

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of experience assisting with resident activities, event coordination, or group facilitation in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality

  • Knowledge of dementia care basics and activity planning

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Must obtain and maintain CPR certification within 30 days of hire

  •  Experience with volunteer coordination or community engagement programs
