SUMMARY

Netagen is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team. At Netagen, Account Managers play a visible role in helping clients get lasting value from technology and telecommunications solutions. This position is ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who wants to own a portfolio, grow trusted client partnerships, and contribute directly to retention, expansion, and long-term customer success.

The Account Manager owns, nurtures, and expands relationships within an assigned portfolio of existing clients. This role focuses on understanding each client's business priorities, building trusted partnerships, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring clients receive responsive, reliable service. This role also includes a targeted new-customer development component, requiring the Account Manager to build relationships with prospective clients, uncover business needs, and introduce Netagen solutions that create long-term value. Working closely with internal teams, the Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and helps strengthen Netagen's reputation for long-term partnership, customer satisfaction, and growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with assigned clients by understanding their business objectives, operational priorities, and evolving needs.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and client touchpoints to assess satisfaction, strengthen relationships, identify risks, and uncover renewal, retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Grow account revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities that align clients' needs with Netagen's products and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, proactively addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Operations, Shared Organizational Services, Sales Design, and Sales Support, to coordinate service delivery and develop solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Manage account renewals, contract amendments, and service changes while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining accurate account documentation.
  • Maintain current and accurate client, opportunity, pipeline, and activity records within CRM systems; prepare reports and forecasts as required.
  • Monitor client account health, identify potential risks to retention, and implement strategies to strengthen engagement and minimize churn.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to provide relevant recommendations and insights to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and industry events to maintain product knowledge and strengthen consultative selling capabilities.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and business planning activities by maintaining accurate pipeline and account information
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue, renewal, and account growth objectives
  • Develop and execute account plans for key clients to support long-term growth, retention, and client success.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • University or College degree in business, marketing, sales or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience in account management, customer success, or inside sales, ideally within the technology or telecommunications industry
  • Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
  • Proven track record of maintaining client relationships and achieving sales or retention targets
  • Strong consultative and value-based selling capability, with experience uncovering business challenges, quantifying client impact, and positioning solutions around measurable outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling, Sandler, or similar qualification and opportunity-management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities while also expanding existing accounts through renewal, upsell, and cross-sell strategies.
  • Ability to build account plans, map stakeholders and decision processes, identify economic buyers, manage compelling events, and advance opportunities through a disciplined sales cycle.
  • Experience building and managing a qualified pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM data, tracking opportunity stages, and applying consistent next-step discipline.
  • Ability to forecast account growth, renewal risk, and new business opportunities using customer insights, activity metrics, and opportunity qualification criteria.
  • Confident communicator able to engage stakeholders at multiple levels, including technical contacts, business leaders, procurement teams, and executive decision-makers.
  • Skilled at discovery, active listening, objection handling, commercial negotiation, and presenting business cases that connect client needs to clear solution value.
  • Comfortable learning and selling technology, telecommunications, managed services, connectivity, collaboration, or related business solutions to commercial clients.
  • Ability to translate product, service, and market knowledge into client-specific recommendations that support retention, expansion, and long-term customer value.
  • Customer-focused, resilient, and commercially curious, with a proactive approach to solving problems, creating trust, and identifying new ways to help clients succeed.

We are looking for candidates that are serious about their careers and hold a high level of enthusiasm for building a strong successful company, as we do.
