Job description

Position Overview:

Paradigm Recovery Center is a startup behavioral health treatment center providing structured, evidence-based outpatient services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The Outpatient Clinician provides individual and group therapy, clinical documentation, and treatment planning within ASAM 2.5 and 2.1 levels of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Services:

• Provide individual therapy sessions in accordance with ASAM 2.5 and 2.1 requirements

• Facilitate or co-facilitate therapeutic groups as assigned

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic impressions

• Develop and update individualized treatment plans

• Provide crisis intervention as needed

Documentation & Compliance:

• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EHR

• Ensure documentation meets Missouri regulations and payer standards

• Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality compliance

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

• Participate in treatment team meetings and supervision

• Coordinate care with medical, case management, and peer staff

• Communicate client progress and safety concerns

Client Engagement & Care Coordination:

• Support engagement and retention in treatment

• Assist with discharge planning and referrals

• Educate clients and families on recovery resources

Program Development (Startup Environment):

• Contribute to clinical workflow and program development

• Support quality improvement and survey readiness

• Maintain flexibility in a startup setting

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

• Missouri license or license-eligible status (LPC/PLPC, LCSW/LMSW, LMFT/PLMFT)

• Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment

• Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in ASAM 2.1 and/or 2.5 levels of care

• Experience in PHP or IOP programs

• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, MI, trauma-informed care

• Startup or program build-out experience

Schedule Expectations:

• Daytime and/or evening hours based on program needs

• Flexible scheduling during startup phase

Physical & Professional Requirements:

• Ability to conduct therapy and documentation for extended periods

• Ability to manage emotionally complex situations

• Reliable attendance and professional conduct
