About the Role:
Union City Veterinary Medical Center & Emergency Clinic is looking for a compassionate and organized Evening Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team in Union City, GA. This is your chance to be the welcoming face of a fast-paced veterinary emergency clinic, making a real difference for pets and their families during critical moments. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism during evening and emergency hours (3pm–12am)
  • Answer multi-line phones, triage incoming calls, and direct urgent inquiries to appropriate veterinary staff
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate client information in practice management software
  • Process payments, invoices, and end-of-shift financial transactions
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Assist with client education on post-visit care instructions and follow-up appointments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
Requirements:
  • Prior veterinary receptionist or veterinary clinic experience strongly preferred
  • Availability to work evening shifts, 3pm–12am, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (e.g., V-tech, Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar)
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate when handling emergency and emotionally sensitive situations
  • Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and common animal care practices
  • Reliable, punctual, and a true team player with a positive attitude
