Job description

Description
The Statistics Group in the Department of Technology, Operations, and Statistics at New York University's Stern School of Business invites applications for adjunct faculty positions starting in the 2022-2023 academic year. The position requires teaching graduate or undergraduate courses that are held during the day or in the evening.
Statistics is a multidisciplinary program at the Stern School. We are looking for faculty interested in teaching courses at the interfaces of Statistics with areas of relevance in a Business School, such as Information Technology, Operations Management, Marketing, Economics, and Finance. We are also looking for faculty to teach courses in Biostatistics, Categorical Data, Computationally Intensive Methodology, Econometrics, High-Dimensional Statistics, Multivariate Statistics, Statistical Machine Learning, Stochastic Processes, and Time Series Analysis. In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the contact hour rate for this position is in the range of $350-$650. This rate is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 7902.
Qualifications
Candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred, and candidates are expected to be effective teachers at undergraduate or MBA levels. Experience in classroom teaching is highly desirable.
