Job description

Title:  TWO Part-time, Evening STNA/CNA Instructors
Medical Assistant; LPN; and RN - co-teachers
Classification:  Workforce Education Reports to:   Director of Adult Education Contract:                   Limited Part Time
BEGINNING DATE:              Fall 2025 (Start date negotiable)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled
Job Objective: The evening STNA Instructor plans, implements and assesses adult student learning experiences.
Instructor teaches hands-on STNA skills for a minimum 38 hours per session; total class 76 hrs.
Looking for a Medical Assistant/LPN to teach half the class and RN the other half or an RN                                                                                                                                                                                                            to teach the entire class.










  
Synopsis:
The STNA/CNA Instructor is responsible for:
     Creating and maintaining relationships with students and co-workers.
     Being motivated, self-directed.
     Demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills.
     Organizing and prioritizing work flow.
     Delivering an effective lesson on the level of an STNA/CNA student.
     This program can be taught by one RN that has one year experience in a long-term care facility with chronically ill; one year nursing experience.









Qualifications:
     Medical Assistant/LPN must have 5 years of work experience in the medical field: LPN.
     RN must have a minimum of two years nursing experience, at least one of which is in a long-term care facility; experience of caring for elderly or chronically ill
     Current Ohio Department of Education Adult Education teaching certificate (apply for after employment)
     Provides BCI/FBI Background Check (this can be done at Maplewood)
     Proficient in all Windows based programs, any computer programs and software
     Appropriate phone and email communication skills.
     Be willing to take a training
