Job description

Speech-Language Pathologist(CCC-SLP or CF) – Mobile Pediatric Focus
Location: Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, and surrounding Volusia County areas
Position Type: Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Mobile & Telehealth
About Aligned Horizons Therapy
http://www.alignedhorizons.org
Aligned Horizons Therapy is a community-centered speech therapy practice serving children and adults throughout Volusia County. We provide therapy where life happens—in homes, daycares, schools, community settings, and through telehealth.
Our mission is to help individuals build communication skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships through personalized, collaborative care. We believe therapy is most effective when it is individualized, relationship-based, and focused on real-world participation.
As a clinician-owned practice, we prioritize flexibility, authenticity, and quality care over productivity metrics.
Position Overview
Aligned Horizons Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to support our growing pediatric waitlist in the Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and Ormond Beach areas.
Current referrals are primarily pediatric, with opportunities to work with adults available based on your interests and experience.
We are looking for a clinician who can provide approximately 10+ therapy hours per week, with opportunities for additional growth if desired.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values flexibility, and wants to focus on meaningful therapy rather than administrative burdens.
Current Waitlist Needs
Our current waitlist primarily includes children with:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Early language delays
  • Speech sound disorders
  • AAC needs
  • Social communication challenges
  • Neurodiversity-affirming therapy needs
Additional opportunities may be available with adults in areas such as:
  • Cognitive-communication therapy
  • Brain injury rehabilitation
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Voice and swallowing services
  • https://voicefit.mykajabi.com/ free CEU with Voice Fit and ability to expand program
Adult experience is welcome but not required.
Schedule & Flexibility
One of the greatest benefits of working with Aligned Horizons Therapy is the ability to create a schedule that works for your life.
While many clients prefer after-school and evening appointments, clinicians have significant autonomy over their schedule.
You can choose:
  • Which days you work
  • Which clients you accept
  • How many clients you see
  • Whether you prefer weekdays, evenings, or weekends
We are focused on finding the right fit—not forcing clinicians into rigid schedules.
Why Clinicians Love Working Here
Many speech-language pathologists entered this profession because they love helping people—not because they enjoy productivity requirements, endless paperwork, meetings, or spending more time tracking metrics than providing therapy.
At Aligned Horizons Therapy, we intentionally keep the focus where it belongs: on meaningful, client-centered care.

Our clinicians enjoy:
  • Autonomy over their schedule and caseload
  • A relationship-centered approach to therapy
  • Freedom to individualize treatment based on client needs
  • Direct support from a clinician-owned private practice
  • Strong family collaboration and caregiver coaching
  • Minimal administrative burden
  • The opportunity to spend more time doing what they were trained to do—helping clients and families
  • Reliable weekly payroll – No waiting weeks for your hard work to reflect in your bank account.
There are no productivity quotas, no pressure to maximize billable units, and no rigid treatment structures.
If you're feeling burned out by excessive paperwork, productivity demands, micromanagement, or workplace politics, this may be the refreshing change you've been looking for.
We believe great therapists do their best work when they are trusted, supported, and given the flexibility to focus on clinical care.
What We Offer
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Build a caseload around your availability
  • Competitive compensation
  • Administrative support
  • Electronic documentation system
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Mentorship and clinical collaboration
  • Opportunities to work with both pediatric and adult populations
  • Meaningful, relationship-centered care
  • Independence with support when needed
  • Opportunities for growth within a growing private practice

Required
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Florida SLP License (or eligibility)

Preferred
  • Experience with pediatric populations
  • Experience with AAC
  • Neurodiversity-affirming approach
  • Strong caregiver coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative
Who Thrives Here
You may be a great fit if you:
  • Love working directly with children and families
  • Enjoy mobile and community-based therapy
  • Value autonomy and flexibility
  • Want to help build a growing private practice
  • Believe therapy should be individualized and relationship-driven
  • Are looking for a practice that prioritizes quality care over productivity metrics
  • Want to spend more time doing speech therapy and less time managing unnecessary paperwork
