Suburban Animal Clinic | Columbus, Ohio
Rebuild, Lead & Shape the Future of a Community-Focused Practice
If you've ever thought:
"I wish I could help build the kind of veterinary hospital I actually want to work in..." This is that opportunity.
Suburban Animal Clinic is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're looking for a veterinarian who wants more than simply stepping into an existing role. We are rebuilding intentionally - focusing on creating a supportive culture, sustainable workflows, and a hospital environment where both clients and team members feel genuinely cared for.
A new veterinarian will be joining the team this July, and we're looking for another collaborative, motivated DVM who is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of the practice alongside supportive leadership.
Whether you're seeking an Associate Veterinarian role or are interested in stepping into a Managing DVM position with leadership incentives and growth support, this opportunity offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This isn't a rigid "corporate template" hospital.
We are open to:
  • expanding services around your interests,
  • supporting new ideas,
  • creating scheduling flexibility,
  • and building workflows that support both excellent medicine and quality of life.

If you enjoy surgery, orthopedics, exotics, dentistry, or developing a niche area of medicine, we want to support your growth - not limit it.
For veterinarians interested in orthopedics, the clinic is already equipped with orthopedic equipment, and mentorship opportunities are available through a partnering outside practice.
What You'll Find Here
  • Opportunity to help shape hospital culture and medical direction
  • Associate Veterinarian or MDVM pathway available
  • MDVM bonus opportunities and leadership support
  • Flexible approach to services and practice growth
  • Dedicated surgery days
  • 4 exam rooms
  • Dedicated surgical suite
  • Ultrasound, digital radiology, and therapy laser
  • Open to exotics if desired
  • No grooming, boarding, hospitalizations, or on-call responsibilities

A Schedule Designed for Real Life
We know flexibility matters.
Candidates should be open to rotating later evening coverage or occasional Saturdays, but we are committed to building schedules collaboratively and sustainably to support long-term balance and team wellbeing.
The Kind of Veterinarian Who Will Thrive Here
We're looking for someone who:
  • enjoys collaboration and building relationships
  • values both medicine and culture
  • is adaptable and growth-minded
  • wants autonomy while still feeling supported
  • sees opportunity in helping shape something meaningful

This could be an incredible fit for:
  • a veterinarian ready for more influence and leadership,
  • a DVM who enjoys building and mentoring teams,
  • or someone who wants the excitement of creating something special without taking on ownership risk.

Compensation & Growth
  • Salary: $120,000-$140,000 Plus Production
  • Medical Director bonus opportunities available
  • Leadership development and mentorship support
  • Flexible growth opportunities based on your interests
  • Signing bonus available
