Opportunity
We are seeking a Back of House (Kitchen) Director to join our leadership team at Chick-fil-A Medina, with a specific focus on leading evening kitchen operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing people, building high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. As the Back of House Director, you will lead one of the most critical areas of the restaurant by coaching leaders, developing Team Members, and ensuring exceptional food quality, food safety, and operational execution every day. Working alongside an experienced leadership team and dedicated morning kitchen leadership, you will have the opportunity to focus on building a strong evening operation rather than trying to oversee every daypart. You will help develop leaders, strengthen systems, solve operational challenges, and create a kitchen that performs consistently whether you are physically present or not.

Your Impact

  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop Back of House Team Members
  • Own labor scheduling, staffing plans, and team accountability
  • Drive food safety, cleanliness, and Chick-fil-A operational standards
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics including food cost, waste, labor efficiency, and operational execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency, and profitability
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to achieve long-term restaurant goals
  • Help create an environment where people are challenged, developed, and equipped for future leadership opportunities

Background Profile
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable while building positive relationships
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to regularly work approximately 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, including Fridays and Saturdays
  • Passion for coaching others and building high-performing teams
  • Experience with scheduling, food safety, inventory, or operational metrics is preferred
  • Chick-fil-A experience is a plus, but not required
  • Passion for Chick-fil-A's values and servant leadership philosophy
