Job description

Position Description: Delta College of Arts and Technology is seeking qualified instructors for our Medical Assistant and Billing & Coding Programs. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge, professional experience, and passion for healthcare while assisting and training students for careers in the healthcare field.We are looking for experienced healthcare professionals who can provide engaging, practical instruction and help students develop the skills needed for success in their chosen field. No former instructional experience needed. The college provides all faculty training and materials. Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).Proven experience in medical billing/coding with a strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS standards.CPC, CCS, or other billing/coding certification.Experience related to patient registration, billing, coding, and claims reconciliation.Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.Strong communication skills.Minimum of four (4) years of Medical Assistant or Nursing, and Medical Billing & Coding experience.Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.Schedule:Daytime hours: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM.Evening hours: 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM.Evening instruction may include one or more nights per week based on program and campus needs.Fridays may be required as needed.Weekends and holidays off.This position provides a rewarding opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with students preparing for careers in healthcare.
