Work Location9820 Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, KS 66109Job Overview

The Evening Maintenance Technician will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This position is responsible for analyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently. 

Work Schedule:

Tuesday - Friday

  • 4:00pm - 2:00am
Highlights of your role
  • Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs as well as train others in machine repairs.  
  • Work efficiently with work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant. 
  • Set up of new equipment; troubleshoot equipment-using specialty tools-and make decisions on most effective repair of equipment.  
  • Perform regular inspections and light repairs on production equipment, assist in machine repairs, and perform daily housekeeping in work areas.  
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status, as well as email end of shift reports daily. 
  • Perform basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and a lathe.  
  • Interpret blueprints and part drawing to perform maintenance task. 
  • Must have basic understanding of welding and fabrication. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • High School diploma/GED required 
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training required 
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software and the Microsoft Software Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)   
  • Associate's degree in a related-technical field is strongly preferred
