Part-Time ABA Behavior Technician Job Description

Positive Aspired Learning (PAL) is seeking qualified FT/PTABA Behavior Technician candidates to provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) therapy to children with Autism in the home, community, or school setting. We are looking for candidates available for midday/evening hours. Behavior Technicians will receive thorough ABA training in order to gain the skills necessary to provide quality 1:1 therapy with children. ABA Behavior Technicians will receive supervision under a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). ABA Behavior Technicians will gain the following skills: conduct behavior interventions/assessments, utilize various data collection methods, learn about verbal behavior protocols, and implement behavior management programs. ABA Behavior Technicians will also implement skill acquisition programs across the domains of communication, receptive/expressive language, social/play skills, and activities of daily living skills.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree completed or higher education credits (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience with children (preferred)
  • RBT certification (preferred)
  • Must be available for after-school hours (Mon-Fri) (required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in home, school/daycare, or community settings.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress during sessions.
  • Write detailed session notes documenting interventions, client responses, and progress.
  • Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address challenging behaviors.
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to promote skill development.
  • Maintain professional communication with families, caregivers, and supervisors.
  • Attend mandatory supervision meetings, training sessions, and team discussions.
  • Adhere to confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule based on client needs and agency requirements.
  • Utilize technology for data collection, scheduling, and communication with supervisors.
  • Report concerns or significant client changes to the Clinical Supervisors promptly.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions.

PAL is an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) agency owned by 2 BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who have a combined 25+ years of ABA experience. Both owners graduated from Columbia University's Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis program with a Masters degree and PhD in ABA. PAL hires well-experienced BCBAs to supervise clinical services and Behavior Technicians who provide the direct therapy care.
