Job description

Evening Food & Beverage Attendant / Bartender

Join our hotel Bistro team as an Evening Food & Beverage Attendant / Bartender. This position works as part of a two-person evening team and supports both food and beverage service.

This is not a bartender-only position. Team members are expected to help with guest service, bar service, food preparation, cooking, plating, stocking, cleaning, and closing duties.

Position Highlights
  • Pay: $14.00 per hour based on experience, availability, and ability to work both kitchen and guest service/bar responsibilities

  • Tips: This position is eligible for tips

  • Weekend Premium: Saturday and Sunday shifts receive an additional $1.50/hour

  • Schedule: Part-time evening position

  • Shift Start Time: 4:30 PM

  • Typical End Time: Around 11:00 PM most nights, after closing duties are complete

  • Bistro Hours: Bistro closes at 10:00 PM, with the option to remain open later based on guest demand, business levels, or special events

  • Ideal Availability: Approximately 3–4 evening shifts per week

  • Weekend Availability: Required or strongly preferred

  • Holiday Availability: Required based on business needs

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented person who is willing to learn all parts of the evening Bistro operation. The right candidate should be comfortable working as part of a two-person team and willing to jump in wherever needed.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, communicates well with teammates, and takes pride in providing friendly service while keeping the Bistro clean, stocked, and guest-ready.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service.

  • Work as part of a two-person evening Bistro team.

  • Take guest food and beverage orders.

  • Enter orders accurately into the MICROS point-of-sale system. Training will be provided.

  • Prepare, cook, plate, and serve Bistro food items according to brand and food safety standards.

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and portion standards.

  • Check guest identification and serve alcohol according to federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations.

  • Answer guest questions and make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.

  • Process guest payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, gift certificates, vouchers, and room charges.

  • Assist with food prep, product rotation, restocking, and maintaining par levels.

  • Clear, clean, and reset tables, counters, bar seating, and service areas.

  • Stock beer, wine, spirits, cups, paper products, straws, condiments, glassware, ice, produce, food products, and service supplies.

  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift using clean-as-you-go procedures.

  • Complete closing, cleaning, prep, and restocking duties as assigned.

  • Communicate effectively with Bistro teammates, hotel staff, and management.

  • Help create a welcoming and memorable experience for hotel guests.

Qualifications
  • Must be team-oriented and willing to work in both the kitchen and guest service/bar areas.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcoholic beverages.

  • Applicants under 21 may be considered for kitchen-only responsibilities depending on staffing needs.

  • Previous food service, restaurant, bar, hotel, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

  • Experience with MICROS or other point-of-sale systems preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to mix common cocktails and follow drink recipes preferred.

  • Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service practices preferred.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a teammate.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull items as needed, including trays, stocking items, and Bistro supplies.

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to jump in where needed required.

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
