Bridgeway is a comprehensive human services organization and a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Henry Counties in west central Illinois. As a CCBHC, Bridgeway operates at the leading edge of integrated behavioral health - delivering person centered, recovery oriented care across a full continuum that includes outpatient therapy, crisis services, substance use treatment, psychiatric services, and community support.

The Crisis Counselor operates as part of Bridgeway's mobile crisis and SASS continuum, responding to referrals from the Illinois CARES Line and conducting onsite assessments in homes, schools, hospitals, and other community settings. This role requires clinical competence, sound judgment, and the ability to function effectively in dynamic and high acuity environments. • Provide SASS services for youth under 21 and complete all required documentation in applicable state and agency systems.
  • Consult with physicians and psychiatrists in medical settings; consult with supervisors on clinically complex presentations.
  • Provide Critical Incident Response services to schools, businesses, and community organizations following traumatic events.
  • Coordinate care linkages and warm handoffs to ongoing community behavioral health services.
  • Provide training to staff, community groups, and stakeholders on crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
  • Complete required clinical documentation in the EHR and other required systems accurately and on time.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related human services field (required).
  • Experience in crisis intervention, community mental health, SASS, or emergency services strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree and/or mental health licensure (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risk, deescalate effectively, and document accurately in high acuity settings.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and a good driving record.
  • Availability for evening, weekend, and on callassignments.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Leave for All Workers (PLAW).
  • Holiday pay and bereavement pay.
  • 401(k) with employer contribution and match.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • A mission driven organization where your clinical work directly changes lives.
  • On call differential applicable to designated overnight and weekend on call assignments.

Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all required background checks, including DCFS fingerprint screening and pre employment drug testing.
