Work Location: In person
Schedule: We are looking for a per diem therapist who has evening and/or weekend availability but may also have day shifts available at times.
Description:
Seeking a client-centered art therapist, music therapist, or dance-movement therapist to join our adjunctive therapy team. This is a great opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who provide programming throughout the hospital serving adults with acute psychiatric illness. In this position, the adjunctive therapist plans and conducts a variety of evidence-based creative arts and counseling interventions that support the wellness and recovery of individuals with mental illness. Our therapists facilitate approximately three groups per day in accordance with trauma-informed and recovery-based principles. Although we align mostly with the therapist's creative arts modality, they may also be expected to facilitate verbal therapy or activity-based sessions with patients with acute psychiatric illness to support their wellness and recovery. Adjunctive Therapists also facilitate individual sessions and complete assessments.
Adjunctive therapy staff participate as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The therapist is expected to observe, assess, record and report patient behavior and relate it to patient's progress in treatment via documentation and verbal communication, and complete proper clinical documentation in accordance with policies and procedures. AT Staff create an atmosphere of warmth, caring, and unconditional positive regard toward all patients and staff. We are looking for a per-dem therapist who has evening and/or weekend availability but may also have day shifts available at times.
