(This is a fixed hourly wage rate. No wage range exists).

GENERAL SUMMARY

We are seeking a Bartender who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality to our evening bar service. In this role, you will create a welcoming environment for guests while preparing and serving beverages with accuracy and consistency. Successful candidates demonstrate strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to engage guests while maintaining the service standards of the hotel

The Bartender also supports the overall success of the outlet through proper liquor control, accurate cash handling, and collaboration with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient service. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe bar environment is essential to this role.

This position primarily supports evening bar service, with most shifts typically scheduled between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM, though hours may vary depending on business levels and operational needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and standards while maintaining knowledge of all bar products and offerings.
  • Provide attentive guest service while promoting sales through suggestive selling, including premium brands and featured specials.
  • Maintain proper liquor handling and inventory practices, including par checks and reporting discrepancies.
  • Accurately handle cash and payment transactions, including maintaining an assigned bank and completing required reports and drops.
  • Support overall service by assisting team members and preparing beverages for other outlets when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area while completing opening, closing, and side duties.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices and all hotel policies while communicating operational needs to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-year previous bartending experience
  • Must have WA state Food Worker Card or the ability to obtain one within 14 days from the date of hire.
  • Must have WA state Mandatory Alcohol Service Training (MAST) permit or the ability to obtain one within 60 days from the date of hire.
