Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Student Programming & Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement co-curricular programs and events for center-based, on-campus, virtual, and evening students
  • Explore, develop, and execute opportunities for both active and passive student engagement
  • Assist with campus-wide and college-wide initiatives such as New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, and major student celebrations
  • Publicize and promote events using inclusive and engaging marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with Student Life & Engagement staff across campuses and centers to ensure equitable access to programming

Student Organization Support

  • Support and advise student clubs and organizations in planning and delivering quality programming
  • Provide guidance on event logistics, engagement strategies, and departmental procedures
  • Collaborate with student leaders, faculty, and staff to produce joint programming across the College

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Assist with the operation of the Campus Cupboard and Closet at the Allegheny Campus
  • Order supplies, materials, and equipment for events, programming, and Campus Cupboard operations
  • Supervise, mentor, and support student employees and student leaders
  • Attend departmental, campus, and college-wide meetings
  • Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding student engagement programs, services, and resources
