Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) - 2nd Shift

Overview

Position Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Evening (2nd Shift)

Description

Job Summary:

Utilizing independent judgment. The Medical Technologist performs complex chemical and biological test procedures on blood, tissue, body fluids or excretions in either Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry or Microbiology and instruct incumbents in assigned areas.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Minimum: Associate Degree in medical technology or relates science.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in medical technology or related science.
  • One year of medical technology or medical laboratory technician training.
  • Certification in Medical Technology (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by an accredited agency or the equivalent.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Skills:

  • Must be cross functional in the areas of all laboratory departments except histology.
