Job Title: EV Automotive Service Technician

Department: Service

Employment Status: Full-time (Exempt/Non-exempt, as applicable)

Reports To: Service Manager/Director & Service Operations Director

Job Summary:

The EV Automotive Service Technician at Bomnin Automotive is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing both conventional and electric vehicle systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in high-voltage EV systems, diagnostics, and mechanical repair, while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, and system inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues
  • Service drivetrains, motors, and related components

2. EV Systems & High-Voltage Work

  • Diagnose and repair EV components, including batteries, inverters, and motors
  • Test battery health and performance
  • Repair or replace battery modules as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols for handling high-voltage systems
  • Ensure proper battery handling and disposal compliance

3. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to analyze vehicle performance and faults
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and software-related issues
  • Escalate advanced concerns when needed and support technical collaboration

4. Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
  • Accurately document services, findings, and recommendations
