Job description

Taiga Motors is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive growth through developing, activating, and managing the dealer network within the US Southeast. As a member of a fast-growing electric powersports and marine startup, this role is responsible for expanding Taiga's dealer network, strengthening partner performance, growing adoption of electric powersports across both retail and fleet channels, and establishing Taiga as the leading electric powersports brand in the US Southeast region. The ideal candidate will be located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois or Michigan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dealer Development & Relationship Management

  • Recruit and onboard new dealers in priority markets
  • Act as the main liaison for assigned dealers, maintaining consistent communication and in-market presence
  • Build strong working relationships that support long-term dealer success and alignment
  • Evaluate dealer performance and local market dynamics to identify growth opportunities
  • Own dealer performance across the region, including sales, retail success, and customer experience
  • Guide dealers on selling and positioning EV products, including customer education on ownership benefits and total cost advantages


Sales Performance & Market Growth

  • Deliver regional wholesale and retail targets across vehicles and aftermarket products
  • Create and execute territory and dealer-level plans to drive volume and brand awareness
  • Guide dealers on retail success, including EV training, lead management, and closing practices for EV's
  • Drive retail performance and pipeline development within assigned region
  • Support sales activity directly in uncovered markets where needed


Commercial & Fleet Development

  • Identify and develop opportunities with fleet and commercial customers (resorts, rentals, hospitality, and other partners)
  • Support product demonstrations, proposals, and onboarding for fleet accounts
  • Coordinate with dealers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing support
  • Own development of key fleet accounts within the region


Dealer Enablement & Brand Execution

  • Promote adoption of Taiga's approach to EV sales, product positioning, and customer experience
  • Train and coach dealer teams to improve product knowledge and retail effectiveness
  • Encourage high standards in merchandising, customer engagement, and overall brand representation
  • Participate in events, demos, and regional activations to build awareness and demand
  • Influence dealer adoption of Taiga's products and approach


Planning & Operations

  • Use data and reporting to monitor performance, track opportunities, and guide decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of dealer activity, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Manage travel, expenses, and time effectively to maximize field impact

PROFILE

Required:

  • 5+ years in sales, dealer-facing roles, or business development
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to analyze performance and translate insights into action
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a field-based role
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region and occasionally international
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment


Preferred:

  • Experience in powersports, marine, automotive, or EV sectors
  • Background in dealer network growth or distribution models
  • Exposure to fleet, government, or commercial sales environments
  • Degree in business or a related field

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Field-based role within assigned region
  • Travel required (50-80%) including occasional international travel
