Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The position will report to the Director, Compliance & Ethics, the person will be responsible for: conducting the monitoring activities related to the Compliance program; the Compliance audit plan, development, execution and corrective actions, and for ensuring disciplinary actions are issued, documented, tracked and inputted into the Department dashboard that can be presented to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Compliance Committee and Senior Management.

Essential Job Duties

MONITORING

  • Conducts compliance monitoring activities, including process reviews, testing to ensure adherence to Intuitive policies and local regulations.
  • Identifies potential compliance risks and contributes to the development of corrective action plans.

AUDITING

  • Conducts compliance audit activities, including complete period data review, testing, to ensure adherence to Intuitive policies and local regulations.
  • Identifies potential compliance risks and contributes to the development of corrective action plans.

INVESTIGATION, DISCIPLINARY AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

  • Participates in compliance investigations and assists in resolution processes.
  • Promptly respond to detected problems and undertakes corrective actions.
  • Ensures standards are enforced through disciplinary actions.

DATA ANALYTICS

  • Aggregate the information captured on monitoring, auditing and disciplinary and corrective actions and create dashboards that will support the Legal and Compliance team to evaluate and determine necessary next steps
  • Propose and create different reports based on issues and analysis of cases discovered during monitoring, auditing and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a compliance role within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Compliance regulations and MedTech regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Education and Training (one of these)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Law, Accounting, Compliance, Health Sciences). Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certification in compliance (e.g., CCEP, CHC) is a plus.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
