Job Summary:
Point72 is a leading global alternative investment firm, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of data infrastructure. The role involves creating a unified, enterprise-grade data platform and ensuring the reliability and performance of backend systems.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain agentic workflows and tooling that leverage large language models
• Define the service contracts, data models, and integration patterns that will serve as future firmwide standards for data access
• Build high-impact, enterprise-grade data services and pipelines that support research, trading, and AI projects across the firm
• Ensure backend systems are reliable, observable, and performant at scale
• Containerize services and orchestrate workloads to ensure resilient, observable, and scalable deployments together with cloud engineers
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar engineering field
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering roles building enterprise-grade systems
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with team development on business-critical systems
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design and performance tuning
• Exposure to agentic development in a commercial environment
• Exposure to cloud development
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
