The opportunity: ETF Operations Manager

Being part of HSBC in Ireland, you’ll help evolve and grow our business.
Are you an ETF operations leader? Do you have a client-first mindset and strong control focus? Do you enjoy improving processes while keeping day-to-day delivery running smoothly?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

What you will do:
You’ll lead day-to-day delivery and client relationship support for ETF operational services, ensuring accurate, controlled processing across the ETF lifecycle, excellent service to ETF clients and stakeholders, and continuous improvement of workflows, controls and team capability.

In this role you will:
•    Own the day-to-day relationship and service delivery for ETF clients, particularly around portal access and trading support, responding to issuer and AP (Authorised Participant) stakeholder queries in a timely and professional way
•    Oversee and support processing activities within the ETF Operations team, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with agreed procedures, controls and relevant fund parameters
•    Review team outputs and provide sign-off where required, maintaining quality standards and resolving issues to protect client outcomes
•    Plan and control workload and workflow across the team, ensuring delivery is scalable, efficient and deadline-driven
•    Train and develop team members on the ETF portal, accounting activities and other ETF systems; ensure ongoing cross-training and skills resilience
•    Drive continuous improvement by identifying, recommending and implementing process and procedure enhancements in partnership with the Head of ETF Operations, and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed

You should apply if you have:
•    Strong product and industry knowledge of traditional funds, with specific expertise in ETFs and the ETF servicing lifecycle (issuers, APs (Authorised Participants) and other counterparties)
•    Solid understanding of ETF NAV processes, order processing and settlement (including cut-offs, market deviation and actual cost concepts)
•    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a service-oriented, customer-focused approach
•    Proven ability to supervise, coach and develop others, including giving structured feedback through one-to-ones and performance reviews
•    Strong control mindset: comfortable operating within internal controls, compliance expectations and operational risk frameworks, with a track record of escalating and resolving errors/complaints appropriately
•    Analytical, numerate and detail-focused, able to organise work proactively and improve how the team delivers outcomes

Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply, if you believe this role is right for you.
