THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate meets the qualifications listed below:

  • Experience preparing estimates, placing material orders, and handling invoicing in steel fabrication or construction
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel and highvoltage equipment
  • Basic understanding of structural and electrical design principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN ESTIMATOR

This is a fulltime role, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, reporting to a central location before heading to job sites or service areas.

In this estimating role, you'll spend your day diving into blueprints, specifications, and bid documents, translating complex designs into clear, accurate estimates. You'll prepare material takeoffs, consult with engineers and detailers, coordinate with vendors on pricing and availability, draft detailed proposals, and follow up with clients to secure awarded work. You'll build preliminary schedules, organize digital project files, support material procurement, and collaborate with leadership to ensure each project has the manpower and resources it needs.
