Project Resources Group (PRG) is currently searching for a Construction Coordinator (Virtual Costs Estimates) for our Cost Estimate team in the Houston, Texas area. This role is responsible for developing accurate and timely cost estimates for fiber and cable construction projects by collaborating with project managers, construction coordinators, OSP planners, and local teams. The position supports the full estimating lifecycle-from pre-estimate coordination and field considerations to reporting and client submission-while ensuring compliance with local dig laws and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Stay in constant communication with project managers and coordinators overseeing the projects, as well as OSP and local fiber planners.
  • Interact with the PRG cost estimate team and attend meetings (by phone, in person or via Google Video) with the local construction coordinators prior to invites to the office to collaborate with coordinators on upcoming projects to be estimated.
  • PRG cost estimate team will be responsible for uploading cost estimates to related systems for the client's review and approval.
  • Assist with other PRG construction coordinators with upcoming cost estimates.
  • Report all cost estimates to the reporting supervisor and to the relevant PRG supervisor/manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on work experience in cable construction, with an intimate knowledge of coaxial cable.
  • Educated on local area dig laws.
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors.
  • Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs.
  • Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects.
  • Strong understanding of fiber and coax construction.
  • Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to various stakeholders and management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing.
  • Interested and able to work overtime occasionally to meet project demands.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long durations throughout the day.
