What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Estimating Intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Estimating Intern, you need a basic understanding of construction or engineering principles, strong mathematical skills, and progress toward a relevant degree such as construction management or civil engineering. Familiarity with estimating software (like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Microsoft Excel) and project management systems is typically required.
