Job description

Job Purpose

The Pricing Analyst gathers and interprets financial and operational data to develop pricing models, support basis of estimate development, and help produce compliant, competitive pricing for government aviation services proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pricing effort on pursuits under the direction of the Manager of Pricing, from solicitation review through submission
  • Analyze source documentation, historical performance data, and subject matter expert input to prepare estimates for duration, cost, materials, labor, and revenue. Prepare and substantiate bills of material (BOMs) and bases of estimate (BOEs) for review by Pricing Manager
  • Support solicitation analysis, including identifying gaps and ambiguities in customer scope and documenting pricing assumptions
  • Develop and maintain pricing models with complex cost and revenue structures, built as structured, repeatable artifacts rather than one-off workbooks
  • Support structuring of pricing to contract requirements, including CLIN/SLIN structures, for Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time & Materials (T&M) contract types
  • Support cost and price analysis of subcontractor and vendor proposals
  • Support Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA) requirements, including gathering and organizing cost or pricing data when thresholds apply
  • Gather market research data as directed to support pricing decisions and price reasonableness positions
  • Compile and analyze financial performance at the project and program level; gather and interpret financial data to produce forecasts
  • Prepare financial models and presentation materials for Program Managers and Senior Management
  • Extract, trace, and validate data from company ERP and business systems as needed to support estimates and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required.  Equivalent demonstrated analytical ability and tool proficiency will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in pricing, estimating, financial analysis/FP&A, or program/project management roles involving cost and schedule analysis
  • Sound analytical judgment and comfort working with incomplete information, including a sense for the appropriate level of precision for the decision at hand
  • Strong FP&A instincts, with an orientation toward analysis and decision support rather than accounting precision or reconciliation
  • Strong Excel proficiency with disciplined, structured-data habits (structured tables, Power Query); able to build, or quickly learn to build, repeatable pricing and analysis artifacts rather than ad hoc workbooks
  • Ability to navigate an ERP system interface confidently: searching records, tracing transactions, and running or extracting reports as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing and presenting financial analysis
  • Detail oriented and well organized, with a high standard of accuracy
  • High degree of initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven proposal environment
  • Experience providing excellent service to internal customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BI applications (Power BI or similar).
  • Experience pricing or supporting proposals for a U.S. government contractor.
  • Exposure to aviation maintenance operations or similar field service environments.

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.

Working Conditions:

  • Business Hours 8 AM- 5 PM EST
  • Remote work option or based in Bridgewater, VA

Pay Band: $54,300-74,300.  Starting pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity, and typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
