Job description

We are seeking a Senior Staff Analyst - Real Estate Tax to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing commercial real estate tax portfolios, identifying assessment appeal opportunities, and helping clients reduce property tax liabilities through analysis, research, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned real estate tax portfolios and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Analyze commercial and industrial property assessments to identify appeal opportunities.

  • Research property valuations, market data, and comparable properties.

  • Prepare detailed appeal packages and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with informal, formal, and litigation-stage property tax appeals.

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding assessments, appeals, and tax-saving opportunities.

  • Maintain project schedules, workpapers, and client records.

  • Conduct property inspections and field reviews when required.

  • Research exemptions, abatements, and incentive opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality client service and results.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate tax, property valuation, assessment appeals, or commercial real estate analysis.

  • Experience reviewing property assessments and preparing appeal documentation.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
