Job Description
  • POSITION GOALS
    • The Assistant Esports Coach will help develop/grow the Esports program and will provide additional support to our student-athletes.
    • The Assistant Esports Coach will remain consistent with Camden County College's acknowledgement of the inherent value and dignity of all individuals by creating and nurturing a learning and working environment that affirms and leverages our community's traditions, heritages, perspectives, and experiences. We are committed to fostering a culture of excellence designed to facilitate the personal and professional success, growth, development, and well-being of all members of our community. We manifest this commitment through our innovative, strategic and collaborative efforts to develop leaders who believe in and lead others toward practicing civility, mutual respect, in our workplaces and society.
  • Perform in-game coaching, teaching, and instruction from the Esports arena at the William G. Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill.
  • Assist the coaching staff in implementing and crafting new in-game strategies, managing practices, and coordinating intercollegiate matches.
  • Travel with team to and from competitions (where applicable).
  • Monitor academic progress of student athletes.
  • Assist with pre-game and post-game setup and production activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Esports Director.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and coaching ability in one or more of the following esports titles: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, or Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms (such as Twitch.tv and YouTube) and streaming software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, planning, leadership, attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgement.
  • Ability and commitment to instruct and motivate college student-athletes.
  • A positive role model for young adults.
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.
