Anticipated Salary Range: $135,000 - $205,000
At Boldt, we build more than complex projects, and we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.
Build boldly with a legal seat at the table that directly moves complex construction work forward. As Boldt's Associate Counsel (Contracts), you'll provide 100% transactional support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and project-based agreements (no litigation), partnering closely with the business to solve real-time deal and execution needs. This is a fully remote, U.S.-based role reporting to Senior Counsel, intentionally designed for an attorney who enjoys hands-on, high-volume contract work, values autonomy, and wants meaningful day-to-day impact over a traditional firm or corporate ladder. You'll join a 100% employee-owned company driven by purpose and values where trust, collaboration, and doing the right thing shape how we work and how we show up for customers and communities.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $205,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. You won't just contribute to projects that matter; you'll grow alongside people who are investing in your success.
What You Bring
  • J.D. degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 7-10+ years of experience focused primarily on contract drafting and negotiation (preferably in construction, engineering, infrastructure or related commercial environment).

Nice to Have
  • Demonstrated experience managing contracts independently and working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction contracting concepts such as indemnity, insurance, flow-down provisions, delay, change management, and risk allocation.
  • Experience using AI-enabled contract review tools, CLMs, or other legal technology platforms.
  • Interest in legal operations, process design, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume contracting environment.
