Job description

Role and Responsibilities
As an Escrow Support Specialist on the SOU Funding team, you will receive a valuable introduction to the post-closing process.
You are accountable for reviewing funds prepared for disbursement against invoices, the settlement statement, and other information in ResWare. You will also print checks corresponding with these disbursements and prepare them for shipment to the appropriate recipients.
This role requires strong attention to detail and effective communication with closers and pre-closers within OS National.
  • Review items awaiting disbursement.
  • Compare disbursement items against supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Review incoming and outgoing payments in a file to ensure the ledger is in balance.
  • Communicate issues to closers and pre-closers and advise them of the information needed to allow funds to be disbursed.
  • Create checks and prepare disbursed funds for final quality control and shipment.
  • Work with and support other departments to achieve company goals.
  • Support other SOU teams, as applicable.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Licensing Requirement
  • After hiring date, must obtain and maintain an active Texas Escrow Officer License.
