Responsibilities

Meritage Homes' Tucson division is hiring a Sales Associate to work across communities in the Northwest area. The Sales Associate serves as a key support partner to the Sales Team by delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring smooth administrative coordination throughout the homebuying process. This role is responsible for staffing designated model homes when Sales Counselors are unavailable, welcoming prospective buyers and agents, obtaining and documenting registrations, and facilitating a seamless handoff to the appropriate Sales Counselor.

In addition, the Sales Associate provides transaction coordination and operational support to the Sales Team by assisting with documentation, inspection scheduling, inventory management, MLS & website coordination, and other sales support activities.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting sales operations, and enhancing overall team efficiency.ย 

Fundamental Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Staff assigned model homes and communities as directed.
  • Welcome prospective buyers and real estate agents visiting Meritage communities.
  • Create positive first impressions through professional customer engagement and rapport building.
  • Accurately register visitors and ensure proper documentation in CRM systems.
  • Facilitate timely introductions and handoffs to the appropriate Sales Counselor for follow-up and sales activities.
  • Provide visitors with basic community, home, floor plan, and neighborhood information.
  • Maintain model homes, sales offices, and community information displays to ensure a professional presentation.
  • Assist Sales Counselors with administrative and transaction-related activities throughout the sales and closing process.
  • Support the collection, organization, and processing of buyer documentation and internal sales paperwork.
  • Coordinate with home inspectors to obtain required insurance documentation and scheduling information.
  • Assist with scheduling inspections and other customer-related appointments.
  • Support communication and coordination with internal departments, mortgage, title, and construction teams as needed.
  • Assist with management and maintenance of available inventory information.
  • Coordinate with the Field Sales Administrator (FSA) and other stakeholders to ensure inventory information is accurately reflected in MLS systems and company websites.
  • Check inventory homes to ensure they are clean and ready for customers and Realtors.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assigned administrative responsibilities.
  • Utilize company CRM and sales systems to document customer interactions and support sales operations.
  • Assist with special events, community activities, and customer outreach initiatives as directed by leadership.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing responsive, professional, and service-oriented support.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Attend sales meetings and other department meetings as directed.
  • Promote and uphold Meritage Homes' values and customer service standards.
  • Partner effectively with Sales, Mortgage, Construction, Title, Escrow and Corporate Support teams.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.ย 

Experience

  • 1-3 years of customer service, sales support, transaction coordination, administrative support, hospitality, real estate, homebuilding, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in new home sales, real estate, mortgage, title, escrow, or construction industries is a plus.
  • Active & valid AZ Real Estate License required

Technical Skills

  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to learn sales, inventory, and customer management platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and document management skills.
