Job description

Escrow Specialist (Mortgage Servicing)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established financial services organization seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the administration of escrow (impound) accounts. This role is ideal for candidates with experience handling property taxes, homeowners insurance, and escrow account maintenance-not real estate closings. This is fully onsite, Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and is paying up to 25/hr.
Responsibilities
  • Manage mortgage escrow (impound) accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Review, update, and maintain property tax and homeowners insurance information.
  • Process tax and insurance payments while ensuring compliance with company and investor guidelines.
  • Research and resolve escrow discrepancies, shortages, surpluses, and payment issues.
  • Communicate with taxing authorities, insurance carriers, borrowers, and internal departments to obtain and verify account information.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the mortgage servicing system.
  • Assist with escrow analyses and account maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Perform additional mortgage servicing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous mortgage servicing experience is required.
  • Experience managing escrow (impound) accounts, property taxes, or homeowners insurance.
  • Experience processing escrow transactions or maintaining tax and insurance records.
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
