Job description

Real Estate Paralegal

 Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, a major Delaware law firm with a diverse business practice, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join and support our Commercial Real Estate Team within the Transactions and Corporate Counseling Group. In this role, you will assist partners and associates in commercial real estate transactions, including documentation, due diligence, title insurance, closing, and post-closing activities for commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and title and survey.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Assist in all phases of commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing
  • Assist with review and preparation of documents for the purchase or sale, loan, and lease transactions
  • Prepare and review various commercial real estate and commercial banking documents for various types of commercial loans and participate in all aspects of loan closings
  • Review and give feedback on due diligence throughout the loan closing process
  • Review tenant documents such as leases, easement agreements, estoppel certificates, subordination, non -disturbance, and attornment agreements
  • Coordinate requests and filings with service companies
  • Communicate with clients and outside counsel
  • Prepare closing binders and follow-up for any missing documents
  • Proofread and redline documents
  • Order and manage title insurance policies and escrow agent obligations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A college degree or relevant work experience and 2+ years of transactional and commercial real estate experience with a law firm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
