Job description

Are you an experienced settlement officer looking for an opportunity to take your research, analysis, and teamwork skills to the next level? We are growing rapidly and are looking for someone to help us open escrow and conduct settlements for real estate transactions.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $70,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Review the title commitment and work with the loan closer to prepare closing disclosures and real estate settlement statements
  • Assure all closing instructions are followed as per the closing package, and confirm with the loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to be sure all underwriting commitments have been satisfied
  • Liaise with the pre-processor to be sure all items are complete, the settlement processor or paralegal to ensure all settlement figures are correct, and with the post-closing agent to ensure the transaction is recorded and any outstanding issues are resolved
  • Record transactions by entering the necessary title and loan documents into software programs, and track the applicant’s progress

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience with real estate transactions, title processing, title company pre-processor, or as a mortgage loan processor is desired
  • Superb research, communications, customer service, and analysis skills are desired
  • Certification as a notary public is not required but is appreciated
  • Proficient computer skills with numerous programs including MS Office, Qualia, Adobe DC is preferred
  • College is an asset but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required
