Job description

We're looking for a qualified Escrow Officer for our Carson City and Zephyr Cove offices.

The Escrow Officer is responsible for:

  • Establishing new escrow accounts
  • Manage entire real escrow closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lenders instructions, title requirements, company requirements and other written instructions
  • Understand the escrow process to determine what steps need to be taken to transfer the title of property pursuant to the conditions called for in the real estate contract and lender instructions.
  • Collaborate with the title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments etc.
  • Prepares transaction documents necessary to ensure title insurance is issued at closing
  • Oversee the issuance of checks, bills and statements, receipts and any other documents needed to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conduct closing with customer, realtor and lenders
  • Assist customers and clients with closing related questions
  • Completes calculations by prorating taxes and interest and closing by recording and filing documents
  • Follows regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Nevada Notary or be able to become a notary
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have at least 1 Year of Escrow Experience and/or be able to be licensed in the State of Nevada as a Title Agent.
