The Opportunityย
We'reย seeking an IT Support Engineer II to serve as our advanced technical specialist and escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges.ย You'll combine strong technical expertise across multiple IT domainsโwith particular strength in networkingโwith excellent communication and mentoring skills.ย This role balances autonomous problem-solving on escalated tickets with coaching and supporting junior technicians, driving both immediate client success and team growth.ย

What You'll Doย
Handle Escalations & Solve Complex Problemsย
- Serve as the escalation point for complex help desk tickets from Tier 1 techniciansย
- Diagnose and resolve multi-layered technical issues across workstations, servers, networking, and cloud environmentsย
- Leverage advanced networkingย expertiseย to troubleshoot enterprise issues: firewalls, VLANs, routing, Wi-Fi, VPNs, DHCP, DNSย
- Use packet analysis tools and diagnostic utilities to trace connectivity faults and performance bottlenecksย
- Coordinate with vendors (ISPs, hardware manufacturers) to resolve outages and complex issuesย
Mentor & Develop Tier 1 Teamย
- Provide ticket review, feedback, and coaching to Tier 1 techniciansย
- Serve as technical reference and escalation point for junior team membersย
- Create documentation, training materials, and knowledge base resources for the help desk teamย
- Perform customer follow-up and verify ticket resolution and satisfactionย
- Work with management toย identifyย coaching and development opportunitiesย
Deliver Client Serviceย
- Manage escalated service tickets with clear communication andย timelyย resolutionย
- Thoroughly test work and involve clients in acceptance testing for changes
- Provide recommendations on infrastructure improvements and optimizationย
- Represent Framework IT professionally during client interactionsย
Support Projects & Infrastructureย
- Participate in infrastructure projects and implementations as engineering resourceย
- Deploy and configure workstations, applications, networking, and server equipmentย
- Perform onsite installations, troubleshooting, and client relationship buildingย
Document & Administerย
- Create andย maintainย comprehensive documentation, checklists, and process standardsย
- Submitย timely,ย accurateย timesheets withย appropriate activityย detailย
- Participate in on-call coverage rotation for critical support (approximately onceย per quarter)ย
What You Bringย
Required:ย
- 3-4 years of IT infrastructure support experience with advanced troubleshooting across multiple domainsย
- 2+ years of Managed Service Provider (MSP) experienceย
- Advanced networking knowledge and hands-on experience: VLANs, subnetting, routing protocols, firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki), enterprise Wi-Fi, VPNsย
- Proficiencyย with network diagnostics tools (Wireshark, packet analysis, CLI commands)ย
- Strong server and systems support: Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, cloud infrastructureย
- Understanding of DHCP, DNS, network services, and Active Directory integrationย
- Experience with RMM and PSA platforms (ConnectWise experience strongly preferred)ย
- Excellent troubleshooting and autonomous problem-solving abilitiesย
- Strong communicationย and mentoring skillsย
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex priorities simultaneouslyย
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 50ย lbs)ย
- Valid driver license and reliable vehicleย
- Flexibility for hybrid schedule and on-call coverage as neededย
Preferred:ย
- CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCENT/CCNA, or equivalent networking certification
- Microsoft Certified Associate (MCA) or similar systems certificationย
- Vendor-specific certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki)ย
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Auvik, PRTX, Managed Monitoring Services)ย
- Cloud networking experience (AWS VPC, Azure)ย
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team membersย
- Familiarity with AI tools and platformsย

Compensation & Benefitsย
Total Compensation: $68,000โ$80,000 annually (base + bonus, based on experience and performance)ย
