Job description

Job Summary
Client is undertaking a strategic Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP transformation impacting Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Inventory, and Project Operations. The ERP Program Manager will serve as the dedicated internal leader responsible for driving program execution, coordinating cross-functional participation, managing internal governance, and ensuring organizational readiness for a successful ERP deployment. This role will work closely with the system implementation team and serve as the primary internal point of accountability for the business and IT, with responsibility for removing roadblocks, driving decisions, coordinating resources, and ensuring the organization is prepared to adopt D365 successfully.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and coordinate ERP program execution on behalf of the business.
• Lead governance routines, executive reporting, steering committee activities, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain program controls, including RAID management, status reporting, decision tracking, project plans, milestones, critical paths, and interdependencies.
• Work closely with the system integrator partner and hold the partner accountable for program deliverables and timelines.
• Create and manage the project plan from initiation through go-live, including milestones, critical path, interdependencies, financial tracking, and execution activities.
• Coordinate engagement of Business Process Owners (BPOs) and subject matter experts across impacted functions.
• Facilitate workshops, review cycles, approvals, and business decision-making.
• Align priorities and requirements across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Inventory, and Project Operations.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource utilization to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
• Monitor business resource availability and participation throughout the program lifecycle.
• Identify capacity risks and coordinate mitigation plans with leadership.
• Ensure critical SME support during design, build, testing, training, cutover, and go-live phases.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, and change readiness activities.
• Partner with Change Management and Training teams to drive awareness and adoption.
• Coordinate communications across business units, site leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Promote organizational readiness for new processes, roles, and technologies.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, participation, and defect resolution.
• Track readiness criteria, including training completion, cutover preparedness, and support planning.
• Support cutover planning, execution, and business readiness activities.
• Coordinate issue triage and stakeholder support during go-live.
• Monitor stabilization efforts and post-implementation action plans.
• Facilitate transition to steady-state operations and continuous process improvement.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, and program updates.
• Utilize Microsoft Project and Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, to manage project plans, reporting, and financial information.
• Drive alignment across senior business and IT stakeholders and system integrator teams to ensure program objectives are achieved.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of project or program management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing large enterprise transformation programs.
• Experience managing at least 3 Microsoft Dynamics 365 integrations or implementations.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP; candidates with SAP or Oracle ERP implementation experience may also be considered.
• Experience partnering with external implementation vendors and system integrators.
• Experience delivering programs with executive visibility and Steering Committee accountability.
• Experience creating and managing comprehensive project plans from beginning to end, including milestones, critical paths, interdependencies, and financial tracking.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or comparable project planning tools.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience engaging and influencing business stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Strong understanding of change management activities and processes.
• Experience supporting transformations involving process redesign, organizational change, and system integration.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Four-year degree.
Preferred Qualifications
• Manufacturing domain experience.
• Experience with Multi-Level BOM (ML-BOM), MRP, engineering change management, and shop floor execution processes.
• Experience with manufacturing, industrial, utilities, or engineering-to-order environments.
