Job description

Devereux has an exciting opportunity for an Independent Contractor- Senior ERP Implementation Project Manager


Rate: $95–$105/hour
Location: Remote in USA (collaboration primarily during Eastern Time hours and must be located in USA)
Duration: Projectbased engagement aligned to ERP implementation milestones

Devereux is seeking an experienced Senior ERP Implementation Project Manager (Independent Contractor) to provide seniorlevel project leadership and advisory services supporting a Cloud ERP implementation. This engagement is focused on delivering defined outcomes across planning, implementation, and stabilization phases, in collaboration with Devereux stakeholders and thirdparty implementation partners.

This is a deliverablebased consulting engagement. The contractor will retain discretion over the manner and means of performing services while meeting agreedupon timelines, milestones, and results.

Scope of Consulting Services

  • Provide seniorlevel project management and advisory support across the Cloud ERP implementation lifecycle.
  • Support documentation of business, financial, HR, procurement, and operational requirements aligned to ERP modules (e.g., Financials, HCM, Procurement, Projects, SCM).
  • Translate approved requirements into configuration, integration, and process documentation in coordination with the implementation partner.
  • Coordinate project activities, dependencies, and milestones across ERP workstreams.
  • Prepare executivelevel project status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate structured stakeholder interviews, workshops, design sessions, and CRP activities.
  • Support change control processes, including documentation of scope and impact to baselines.
  • Review and validate testing documentation (SIT, UAT, Regression) and deployment readiness materials.
  • Provide limited postgolive stabilization and advisory support as defined within the engagement scope.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend bestpractice solutions.
  • Prepare materials and updates for executive steering committee review.

Education & Professional Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business, information systems, healthcare administration, or a related field or equivalent professional consulting experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting ERP or other enterprise system implementation lifecycles.
  • Healthcare or human services implementation experience preferred

Professional Experience: 

  • Minimum two (2) years providing project management or consulting services supporting ERP or similar enterprise system implementations or optimization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting multiregion or multientity implementations preferred.
  • Proven ability to balance technical and business project management responsibilities in a consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with standard business tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database or reporting tools relevant to ERP implementations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, customerfocused mindset, adaptability, and ability to operate independently while meeting defined deliverables.
  • Experience working for or in collaboration with large consulting or professional services firms (e.g., Big Five or comparable organizations) is a plus.
