Job description

Ericsson Inc. does not sponsor U.S work authorizations for this job position including U.S. immigration filings for initial and/or change of employer paperwork for H-1's, H-1B1's, E-3's, O-1's, and TN's. Ericsson also does not hire F-1's working on CPT or EAD for this position.

About this opportunity
Join Ericsson's Networks Domain Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team and gain hands-on experience supporting safe work practices, environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance, and Ericsson's Target Zero safety culture. As an Intern, you will work with EHS professionals and partners across cellular and radio access network (RAN) sites, offices, and other operational locations. Previous EHS experience is not required.
What you will do
  • Support EHS policies, programs, procedures, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with workplace inspections, safety observations, audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Help identify workplace hazards and track practical corrective actions.
  • Support job hazard analyses, method-of-procedure reviews, and safe-work planning.
  • Assist with monitoring higher-risk activities, including electrical work, working at heights, lifting, construction, installation, and maintenance.
  • Review contractor and service delivery partner EHS documentation, training records, permits, and work authorizations.
  • Support incident, near-miss, and hazard investigations under the guidance of EHS professionals.
  • Help prepare safety communications, site orientations, toolbox talks, reports, presentations, and EHS metrics.
  • Support environmental activities such as waste management, spill prevention, recycling, and compliance reviews.

The skills you bring
  • Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree program in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in workplace safety, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Basic understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, or safety-management principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and present information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative, proactive, dependable, and professional approach to assigned responsibilities.
  • Curious about AI, open to using or familiar with AI-assisted tools or workflows, and eager to deepen their skills in an AI-augmented environment
  • Willingness to learn, follow established safety procedures, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Must have at least a 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Ability to work in operational environments, including RAN sites, offices, and Ericsson or customer locations.
