Job description

Hiring: 5G Core & Cloud RAN Engineer - Ericsson
Location: Remote (anywhere within the USA)

Must have an active USA work authorization
We are looking for experienced Telecom Engineers with strong hands-on experience in Ericsson Cloud RAN, EPC, and 5G Core networks. This opportunity will support network operations, integration, testing, automation, upgrades, and troubleshooting in a lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Ericsson Cloud RAN and EPC operations, integration, and troubleshooting
Work with 5G Core Network Functions including AMF, SMF, and UPF
Perform lab integration, software upgrades, validation, troubleshooting, and post-upgrade testing
Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python and/or C/C++
Troubleshoot network, application, and protocol-level issues across RAN and Core environments
Support test execution, issue analysis, RCA, and resolution of complex network problems
Develop and execute MOPs/test procedures for network changes and upgrades
Collaborate with engineering, operations, testing, and development teams
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson 4G/5G network solutions
Experience with Cloud RAN and/or EPC operations
Strong understanding of 5G Core - AMF, SMF, UPF
Hands-on experience with network integration, testing, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Experience with Python and/or C/C++ test automation
Good understanding of LTE/5G architecture, call flows, and telecom protocols
Experience working in telecom lab environments
Preferred Skills:
Ericsson ENM experience/certification
Ericsson Private Networks experience/certification
Cloud-native telecom experience including Kubernetes, containers, VNFs/CNFs
Strong Linux and troubleshooting background
Experience developing MOPs and performing RCA
Ideal Background:
We are particularly interested in engineers who have worked directly with Ericsson RAN/Core environments and can independently perform integration, testing, automation, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting.
