Job description

JOB TITLE:                   Operator Recycling - Erema

FLSA STATUS:             Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:              Fiber Team Leader

CATEGORY:                 Operator IV

 

schedule Sunday - Wednesday 7am-7pm 

 

SUMMARY:

With little supervision, can conduct and operate all equipment in recycling. Capable of performing all operational procedures the production of Recycled PET pellets (RPET) on the Erema Line. Is capable of performing basic housekeeping and turn-around of Erema Line. Is capable of performing all required testing of produced RPET. Follows all written, verbal, and visual work instructions. The employees in this position must take pride in their work and the cleanliness of their workstations, practicing 5S principles in all areas of their work and embracing a Zero Accident Culture with safety in the workplace.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able and willing to Perform all Duties of Utility Operator Recycling Position
  • The ability to understand written, verbal and visual instructions
  • The ability to perform accurate written and computer data entry
  • Able to test RPET produced as well as material being used or received
  • Able to Operate EREMA RPET Extrusion Line
  • Able to perform basic housekeeping and turn-around of EREMA RPET Extrusion Line
  • Able to climb stairs, ladders, and other physical aspects of the job
  • Follow written Work Order instructions using proper materials
  • Certified fork truck, clamp truck and pole truck operation
  • Understands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviors
  • Able to maintain clean work environment (housekeeping, 5S) with little/no supervision
  • Use of efficient time management skills
  • Able to prioritize internal and external job functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Mechanically inclined to perform routing equipment cleanings and upkeep
  • Support other production areas and all other duties as needed/required
