Job description

Regional Human Resources plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. HR professionals are responsible for managing employee relations (ER), recruitment, onboarding, and development, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations. Responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including responding to employee inquiries, processing HR transactions, conducting background checks, and maintaining employee documentation. Additionally, Regional Human Resources involves administering HR programs, supporting staffing efforts, and communicating HR concerns to leadership, all while upholding safety guidelines and quality standards. The Regional HR Generalist or Manager will solely support the HR activities of a region and may receive support from a Regional HR Coordinator if the region size or volume dictates.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 4 years' progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years' related experience.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire business knowledge.
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
  • Perform regional HR activities including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and employee development, communications, training, culture & wellbeing to ensure consistency and supporting regional performance.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to ensure effective communication to Operations.
  • Support the region's HR compliance and strategy needs through consistent performance of HR work such as process and policy interpretation and implementation, training, and initiatives.
  • Administer regional HR programs, including, but not limited to, recruiting, performance management, employee wellbeing, and training and development as the regional subject matter expert for HR programs.
  • Foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs and support hiring and regional recruiting best practices.
  • Communicate HR related concerns and escalate complex employee relations situations to corporate HR leadership.
  • May process employee-related transactions and changes such as new hires and terminations in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to assure accuracy and compliance with law and company guidelines. Process background checks.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
